No-one throws a dance party like the Trolls! Funky music and disco lights will get the dance floor jumping before our campers head to the tables to create some awesome arts and crafts! The Epic Troll Dance Party will run in two studios with two different age groups (see above) and both camps will use fun and age-appropriate jazz & hip-hop dance styles. Don't forget, families are invited to come and watch the final performance!

Inside Out
Emotions are at the heart of dance - so let's get our 'joy' on and hit the floor! Blending a variety of styles, this colorful camp is aimed at girls and boys of all skill levels.
An uplifting and vibrant camp with lots of fun on offer, 'Dancing Inside Out' is a great way for your little one to spend their summer!

This combo class focuses on the basics of tap and jazz and is a great class for children to build the foundation needed to progress in both dance forms. They will learn the basic skills of the energetic style of Jazz from body isolations to unique jumps. Next, dance right on into Tap where they will be shuffling and toe tapping at every opportunity!

This class is designed for anyone who’d like to learn a new talent and get into the rhythm of tap! We will review the basic tap skills and learn fun combinations to put your new skills to the test and tap the night away. Beginners are more than welcome and this is a very friendly class! Before you know it you'll be dancing like Gene Kelly and Savion Glover!
Unicorns & Sparkles

Everyone loves unicorns, so why not BE one this summer? The unicorns are galloping to the studio for a week of sparkly dance fun, so join the herd and lets ride into summer! Featuring a ballet and jazz theme, this camp has everything for the pony and unicorn fan, and at the end of the week our campers will put on an awesome show for their parents!

'Refer A Friend' Month!
November 2015
Sometimes it's more fun to dance with a friend, so November is your child's chance to bring their pal to class for free! Refer a friend to Dance Canvas and if they sign up for a class, you'll get $25.00 off January's tuition! Don't worry if your child's class is full, or their friend can't make it at that time - they can try out a different class and your discount still applies. We'll contact students in a few weeks with further details!

Spring Recital 2015
Our second annual Spring Recital was a huge success! 1,200 people were in attendance to see our students' hard work pay off in a fantastic set of performances. We'd like to say a big thank-you to all our students, parents, volunteers and the staff at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. DVDs of the Recital are available for purchase at the studio to students' families, courtesy of All Occasion Video.
If you're already taking an Intermediate class (ages 11-15), Dance Roulette will provide a focused hour each week to hone your dance skills and disciplines in a variety of styles. All of our instructors will work together to assess each student's needs and give them the attention necessary to progress in their dance education. Improvisation, conditioning, perfecting - this class will cover it all!

Back in Fall '17!
The World is a fascinating place, with an abun-dance of movement styles to explore! Come and see how they get down in Ghana, boogie in Brazil, dance in Denmark and jump around in Jamaica! Campers will learn a variety of different dance styles, with an emphasis on hip-hop, and increase their knowledge of our beautiful planet with arts and crafts.

Thanks to all our loyal students and parents, Dance Canvas is growing and we've run out of space - so we decided to expand our studio! We're currently renovating the adjoining premises and we'll have our grand unveiling on Saturday August 15th between 11:00am & 2:00pm. We'll have sample classes, food & drink, dance games, professional face painting and an opportunity to meet our new instructors and sign up for Fall classes. The staff from Tights n' Things will be at the studio to offer shoe sizing and dance apparel. Everyone is welcome so come and join us for an awesome afternoon of food, fun, games and dance!
Our Summer Session
Our six-week Summer Session runs from June 19th-August 1st, and tuition is pro-rated, so if you join with only two weeks left in the session, you'd only pay for those two weeks. Summer is a great opportunity to try out a class for free before registering for Fall!

2016/17 Enrollment Closed!
Dance Canvas is currently closed for enrollment for our 2016/17 session (Aug 2016-June 2017). While we'd love to have you join us for a class, our students are currently learning their Spring Recital routines, and anyone joining a class at this point would unfortunately be unable to catch up!

Our six-week Summer Session will begin on June 19th and the schedule will be finalized over the next few weeks. If you'd like us to e-mail you on the day it's released, please fill in the form HERE and you can get a head-start on the summer before classes fill!

DanceMakers Inc. is coming to Branson and Dance Canvas will be taking a group along to experience masterclasses from some of the best in the business!
Conventions are a great way for students with a passion for dance to broaden their horizons and learn new skills from a different set of professional instructors. The competitive element is only for our Company teams - all other students will attend fun workshops and engaging masterclasses throughout the weekend and have an opportunity to learn from many experienced and respected dance icons, as well as several adult 'So You Think You Can Dance' finalists, including last year's runner-up (and one of our favorites) Valerie Rockey! They'll also be available for pictures and autographs, just in case your young dancer is a fan of the show!

Hannah Bogue
Instructor
Hannah is from Hannibal, MO, and has 12 years of dance experience. She started her education at Karen's Dance Academy in Hannibal, training in tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, and hip-hop. Hannah was on the senior competitive line for five years where she was awarded Dancer of the Year, which was recognized nationally at Tremaine Dance Conventions in St. Louis, as well as being a convention scholarship winner for West Coast Dance Explosions. She also was a member of her high school dance team where she received training in pom, jazz, and kick. Hannah was chosen to be an All-American Dancer by the Universal Dance Association all four years of her high school career, which led her to dance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2015. Hannah is continuing her education at Missouri State University where she is double majoring to get her Bachelor of Science in Dance as well as Public Relations. She has performed in both Spring and Fall dance concerts through the University, and also serves as a primary choreographer for her sorority, choreographing for dance and step competitions.
Emily Snell
Instructor
Emily is from St. Louis and has been dancing for over ten years. She started competing with her studio at age eleven and trained extensively in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, tap, and pom. Emily has received a variety of awards throughout her career, including the title of Magic Performer of the Weekend. She received various scholarships and special awards at competitions and placed in the National Senior Dancer of the Year competition at Masquerade Nationals in 2015.
Following high school graduation, Emily accepted an offer to travel with LA Dance Magic as a company member, where she assisted well-known choreographers at convention competitions across the U.S. With the company, she demonstrated choreography, performed with faculty members, and worked competitions in a variety of cities, including national finals in Anaheim, CA. The following year, Emily transferred to Missouri State University, where she was a member of the Sugar Bears dance team. Her choreography was performed at various football and basketball games, as well as special events such as homecoming and out-of-state tournaments. She also competed as a finalist in Division I Jazz and Pom finals during her years on the team.
Emily is currently studying Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at MSU. She recently moved back to Missouri after completing an internship with the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida and couldn’t be happier be a part of the Dance Canvas faculty!
